Botany/Forestry Field Walk with Dr. Glen Hughes

FOREST BOTANY WALK

Saturday, March 27, 1:00 to 2:15 p.m.

Take an informative forest botany field walk through the Arboretum, led by former MSU Extension Forestry specialist Dr. Glenn Hughes. Journey down the pathways to explore the Woodland Exhibit and take note of what is currently blooming in the forest, such as the “honeysuckle” azaleas, black cherry, or the handsome evergreen called buckwheat tree. Learn how to identify these woody forest species and tips for using them in your own home landscape. Registration is required. Cost is $4 for members and $6 for non-members.
