Top Honors:

2016
Garden Excellence Award from the American Public Gardens Association, presented to one public garden each year based on its commitment to supporting and demonstrating best horticultural practices.

1990
Honor Award, American Institute of Architects. The Pavilion is the only structure in Mississippi ever to receive this award.
1991
Honor Award, American Society of Landscape Architects. This too is the highest national award given in its field and is the only one ever to be received in Mississippi.

Structural Architecture:

Pinecote Pavilion was designed by the American Institute of Architects Gold Medal winner, Fay Jones of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
