Backyard Birding

Skip Rigney is a Master Naturalist who has been fascinated by birds since he pestered his parents into getting him the book Birds of America when he was six years old. He and his wife Denise have been watching, feeding, and providing habitat for birds in their backyard near Picayune for over 30 years. The Rigneys will share what has (and hasn't) worked for them, covering birds you're likely to see and when, how to improve the habitat in your backyard, and discuss nesting boxes, feeders, and types of bird food (and dealing with those thieving squirrels!). There will also be time for you to share what has (and hasn't) worked for you. Members $3; non-members $6.
